19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with former trainer his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks his initial championship since the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface since that period of that year.
Victory also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an better service.
He fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five games to take the lead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He rescued four early break points in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after a lengthy match.
